So uninstalling the software is appropriate. The OS is already configured to increase fan speeds in response to higher operating temperatures. Gonna reinstall windows fresh, set max cpu usage to 99% (so I wouldnt trigger turboboost) and then just sell it.There really is no need for third-party fan controls. Now I fired it up and prepare to sell that sh1t. In the end I throw that laptop away for few months and switched to my MBP pro 2015 for work. But still didn't get a result which I needed. I tried combining this Disable EC+HWINFO together with throttle stop. I figured out that only that turbo boost kicks in only when pc is connected to power socket, so basically no turbo boost = shitty and slow laptop. Never had any problems with it.Īlthough I'm having other problems, PC seems fucking slow and unusable if it is not connected to power socket. Then after 3 seconds hwinfo kicks in and takes over of my fan control. So the way I setted this up is like this: As soon as my pc starts Disable_EC.exe is triggered and it disables EC. In my case, I found a version called Disable_EC.exe (it's terminal version of Fan utility).

HWINFO actually works! But only in combination with dell fan utility.
